FS: Bergantino BAmp - $1100 (V5 Software)

Post by benhill1982 » 28 Nov 2018, 17:45

Purchased off this forum last week for use in my studio, but I really would get more use out of some different pre’s, so back up for sale. Comes with the Berg bag. Amp in Excellent condition, a few very minor marks consistent with normal regular use. $1100

V5 Software update:
This update contains or new VLPF (variable lowpass filter) which is variable from 1khz to 10khz in 500hz increments. It's located in the filters menu next to the VHPF and it's frequency will also be saved as part of a memory save. Due to it's roll off rate, it also serves as a nice cab simulator emulating the top end response of typical cone transducer based cabinets. It makes headphone listening sound more natural, analogous to a typical bass cab by eliminating a lot of the fret noise and other high end artifacts. It will also go to the DI as well.

Also, the effects circuits have been updated, which are now O/D, Dist, and Fuzz. I believe you will find these new and modified circuits very natural sounding and true to some of your favorite Tube amps and analog effect pedals.

Tis a bahhhgain for such an amazing amp!
Without the new firmware loaded. I used mine on Wed night with the HG410, absolutely stunning.
Fat punch that I've not had from any class D amp, actually, no S.S. amp, apart from the DB750, and that's another haulage!
I'm just loaded the latest firmware, and along with the speaker profiles, it's just sublime dust this amp can do.
I know I'm hijacking the thread, but Wed night was a problematic room and with any other amp, I would've really struggled..... probly having to adjust all night, play certain notes VERY carefully etc....
But I was able to dial OUT the offending freqs, and "voila" good, great actually, to go!

Ok, back to regular programming

Since you mention the update, how much fuss is getting updates for berg amps as a non original owner?

Thanks
