Ok, so my subject was a little tongue in cheek. I dare you to google "Talkbass Pete Wentz Precision review", or similar. Man oh man, there is some hate for the guy, and I just wanted to find out if the bass was any good. So this 1 came up cheap local, i checked it out and liked the feel/weight, simplicity, and tone. These have a modern jazz neck, and a 'Duncan Designed' pickup what ever that means.....it sounds punchy. It looks horrible, and the colour scheme is not my thing. I picked it up today and have organized for it to have a huge makeover in the pretty stakes, at this stage i will be sending it to a relative of mine for a turquoise flake with matching headstock hopefully. I will maybe post the results in this thread down the track once the new paint job is completed, but here it is now in all its ugly glory.

Duncan designed pickups are Asian made Duncan's pretty sure they are based on quarter pounders.

I like the idea of having a bass with only a volume pot, so no will be leaving as is.

Yep. Never had a problem with the Duncan design pups.. I swapped some once for some "exxy/brand name ones" and didn't notice a difference...

Wow! Obviously not finished yet but my Uncle sent me an update pic today and I have to say I am STOKED!. Understand it may not be everyones colour but I love love love it.
