GONE: 2-band Stingray Classic Syd $1500

Post by bigswifty » 13 Feb 2018, 14:22

Hey guys, gotta let this one go, I simply haven't been using it enough.

Acc to EBMM it's a StingRay Classic, completed February 11th, 2010. The color is Candy Red with the Birdseye Maple neck.

It's got normal playing wear but nothing out of the ordinary. Plays great, sounds like it's supposed to. Stuff that I would consider out of the ordinary beyond normal wear and tear is a ding in the underside of the fretboard (pictured) and a bent "leaf" on the G String tuner (was already done when I purchased it, has worked just fine, also pictured).

It comes with a EBMM case in poor shape. It is definitely not the right case for this bass.

Reason for sale is that with one or two injuries increasingly becoming a problem I'm finding it a little bit harder to use for a 3-hour gig. The slab body (4.5kg on my scales) which I didn't notice at all when I got it (was using a Sadowsky PJ at the time which is a total porker which may be why I didn't notice) is just a bit much for me these days.

Anyway, it plays fine, sounds like a 2-band Stingray oughta. It's located in Sydney Hills District for anyone wants to try it. Not willing to ship it.

I have one of these in sunburst. Great instrument. This is a bargain for someone.
