Re: The "What are you READING?" thread
It’s supposed to mean you know and love your books so much you can pick them from the size and colour of the pages. Either that or the aesthetics of your living room are more important than the 20 minutes it takes you to find what you are looking for. Regardless I agree it’s all very silly.

I tried 30 odd years ago to read it too slave and thought exactly the same as you.Naked Lunch - William Burroughs .............. NL isn't really readable in parts, I didn't like it.....
A also tried reading Mein Kampf (Adolph Hitler) one time. I'd heard it mentioned so many times in war documentaries that curiosity got the better of me.
What a load of boring political dribble! I think I got about 1/4 of the way in and stopped.
Can't quite let go of my basses. They're kind of addictive.

I couldn’t read Mein Kampf either. One of very few books that I couldn’t finish.OzzyGreg wrote: ↑01 Feb 2018, 05:05I tried 30 odd years ago to read it too slave and thought exactly the same as you.Naked Lunch - William Burroughs .............. I bought and read the ‘Music Maton Made’ book. Found it very interesting, not being very aware of them in the 60s & 70s, or up till recently I guess.
