Hey All,
I recently invested in an Ipod touch, I have no trouble putting music or photo's on it, however, I want to put the dvds that I own on it. From what I've heard, I will need to get/download some sort of compressor, which reduces the size of the dvd to make it better to watch on the Ipod (and takes up less room).
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Help would be greatly appreciated,
Lukas

MPEG Streamclip is a good free app for ripping DVDs and saving them as smaller files in various formats.

Im on a mac and I use handbrake - its open source - i think there is a version for windows but not sure if it has all the features of mac version. I can only comment on the mac version - it is awsome and free.

You pop in a dvd - choose your format - say ipod touch and it does the rest for you. You then just add it to your itunes library.

I've used Handbrake as well, on Windows. It works fine as well. Thanks for the memory jog, Scott!
