I should put my ex-wife's progress on here. She wasted no time getting to work on her break-up body. Which is ironic because we used to fight because she thought my no-sugar stance was too restrictive - the diet she's on now is MUCH stricter :)

Years ago, when my brother went through a divorce, he put himself through a strict fitness routine... he got fit... quite ... but it wasn’t sustainable and after about 2 years, he began to revert ... then he began to regress ... and he’s actually been quite unfit and unhealthy for the last decade or so ..

Stay true to yourself ... set reasonable goals ... push a little, but don’t be a self-imposed tyrant ....

Consistency is the key ...
Results should be measured in years, not months, and certainly not weeks ...

Update for me
91kg now
5k run PB = 27:22 (two weeks ago)
2k run PB = 9:47. (Australia Day)
3k run PB = 15:58 (hold my beer, I’m running another Friday )
2k row PB = 7:38. (Last month)
5k row PB = 20:16 (set last night)

I can bench press 115kg for 3reps
Squat workouts include 150kg for 8reps (100kg x 10 rock bottom)
Cleans (sets of 5 with 75kg)

I love the gym and love training ... and I’m now addicted to running too ... ive run about 200km already this year .

And almost forgot ... I turned 53 today ... happy old timer’s day to me :)

Well I went for my yearly colonoscopy yesterday, bad news im afraid. I have been losing weight over the last 3mths for no apparent reason .Well we found it yesterday bowel cancer, I see the surgeon in two weeks.and go from there. But with cystic fibroses the cure is a little bit harder

Crap, not another Ozbasser joining the Chemo Club :( That's even if the cystic fibrosis allows it?

That sucks man, all the very best with sorting that out. Also you’ve reminded me about my own overdue appointment so thanks for that, family history of the same variety.
