Smith and Warner have stood down from leadership positions for the rest of this test while the incident is investigated by CA. Payne is stand in skipper.

I reckon on what I understand Smith has admitted to we should see some careers ending. It will be interesting to see if anyone is permanently rubbed out.

This tour is a debacle- first Warner has a rumble, then Smith reckons the shoulder was harder than it looked (why did he have to say that?) and now this. No matter how good a batsman Smith is NO leadership and very poor judgement.

Rupert allows me a freebie every few days- he must think he can sway me with his pearls of wisdom. :rolf:

they should be made to forfeit this test. May as well come home now, with their tails between their legs.

All out 107. Beaten by 322 runs. Two down in the series.
Looks to me like they did effectively forfeit.

An absolute disgrace. I won't follow the players and staff who decided on the cheating. They need to exit the game.

The CA investigation needs to be done before the next test and a new team (minus the cheats) and coach should contest the last test.

I bang on about Katich, but I saw his terrible treatment as a pivotal event in Australian cricket. Australia made a massive mistake when it allowed a show pony like Michael Clarke a free hand as captain and pandered to him, instead of picking a player that actually had the qualities required as captain. I played with guys like Clarke (obviously not as good) and they NEVER made good captains and there was ALWAYS trouble in teams they tried to captain. The same mistake was unfolding under Smith. Hopefully that will now be corrected.

The best batsman in the side does not always make the best captain.

If John Howard had succeeded in his bid and was now leading the ICC, things might be a bit awkward for him

hearing discussions on ABC radio on the way home today it was more about why they changed how they were cheating and how clumsy they were in doing it. The other interesting thing was they made it sound like the SA camera men were watching for it too.
