Check out this ginger leggie bagging 8-for against the Poms in the U19 World Cup final. Sangha's catches at slip were fab as well.

And by night I hear he's the lead singer in a Simply Red tribute band.

^ The Aussies were defending 127 runs. Eng were already 96 runs at only 23.4 overs.

Terrific bowling, and Sanga's catches were great too.

Great article here about our new Ginger overlord. My favourite bit:

"In lay terms, with England in touching distance of a breezy victory, Pope is now the Governor General after rescuing us from the unspeakable humiliation of failure in a youth tournament.

And if I know young Lloyd – which I definitely do, after seeing 9.4 overs compacted in to a 45-second story on the nightly news – he’ll do the same again in the semi-final, and forever".

Holy carp! Their top order has been so good until now. Can't maintain the fire now the series is wrapped up?

good organisation from Cricket Australia. Fancy scheduling a T20 International the day before or after the BBL Semi finals, meaning 6 top players can't play for their BBL team. It was bad enough when they dropped Handscombe from the test team that there was no domestic cricket for him to regain form from, now that. How friggin hard can it be, you have a whole week. Two sets of games, you put them next to each other, not even a day in between. I mean this is beyond stupid, it's outright lunacy. Probably a decision made by someone on a six figure salary.....

Well the lunacy has been acknowledged, and most of the affected players will be released from national duty to enable them to play in the BBL final.

Note the fast bowlers are the exception due to "workload". Seriously? It's 4 overs tops!

I think it's time to only select Kuwaja for home tests.

he averages 54 at home and only 24 away. he didn't even make 24. don't pick him for tours. Stats don't lie.

The numbers are not good, but at least Khawaja looks like a test batsman. Bancroft doesn't. I am less concerned about Khawaja in SA than Bancroft.

they selected Bancroft far too early just because he made a double hundred just before the test he was first picked for. Stupid move
