Priceless.
"I will not be bullied by the Australian Labor Party," Cash told a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Looks like this article was written before Hanson had her meltdown on TV last night. In which she lost it- not just her composure... her hold on power.
https://www.canberratimes.com.au/politi ... 4ziqc.html

We will no doubt see Bursten become yet "another former One Nation Senator", leaving the witch from Ipswich with just 2 senators and not much to bargain with- a 50% attrition rate and a turnover rate of 75% since the last election. Who could have predicted this chaos? Everybody. Remember when she got 25% of the vote and 11 seats in 1998 in the Qld electon? All that evaporated very quickly.

BTW- I hear she actually has good reason to be warring with Bursten and he is lying about not contacting the Fishers and Shooters. I understand he did and they knocked him back. He has also been sounding out Leyonhjelm and others.

Why then would anyone vote for her Party? Quite apart from representing the worst angels of our society , they are actually a shambles- always have been, always will be. Hopefully my neighbours in Longman have some common sense- although Mal Brough was their member for a long time.

If we react with denser high rise rather than sprawling houses, the per capital energy usage will fall.

If we could build quality high density housing similar to EU we might stand a chance.

We don’t need those extremes as we don’t need to fight off snow. We should do better than this.

The idea that per capital energy usage has to go up or that migrants are causing it are both giving us an excuse to keep hurting things.

I was more speaking to quality, most new apartments fall down around the people living in them, and not having regulation around size like NSW is creating some tiny unliveable spaces in VIC.

Jim Molan tangled with Doug Cameron today and came off second best, squealing for an apology. Good luck with that, Jimbo.
Seems his success against the recent stupid, childish, amateurish Greens attack on him has made him think all he has to do to anyone who disagees with him is accuse them of having a go at the military and they will back off.
Settle, petal" as Dougie said.
If that is how Molan is going to behave perhaps he needs to go back to be being a retired Major General and leave the politics to those with thicker skins.

Bring it on. By the time we get there, Hanson will have changed her mind another half a dozen times.
Mathias Cormann will bring the government’s entire tax package to the Senate at the end of next month, in a sink or swim move that could pave the way for an early election.

More on super.

The government is using it to dishonestly prop up it's return to surplus projection.

One Nation Party. :rolf:
In a warning over One Nation’s future, Senator Burston said that out of 29 or 30 of the party’s elected MPs since it was formed, 23 have been sacked or have quit under Senator Hanson's leadership.

Bring on the federal election and clear out the ridiculous, rubbish Senate that Turnbull's foolish DD election inevitably saddled us with. Another great move from our genius PM.
Annastacia Palasczcuk recently showed how poorly ONP does, even in their heartland, when people are actually forced to focus on their actual record and gross dysfunction, rather than their p!ss and wind,, when they are given a sniff of power. Federal Labor will have plenty of ammunition to do the same, if needed ie if ONP last that long.

Another funny one out of the Canberra Times story above..
In a sequence of events that sparked a crisis, a friend of Senator Burston contacted the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party at about 3.20pm on Thursday and raised the idea that the NSW Senator would like to meet.
The intermediary, whose identity has been verified by Fairfax Media but spoke on condition he was not named, said he did this without Senator Burston’s knowledge.
An agreement was reached to hold a meeting on Friday, June 8, and the intermediary passed this on to Senator Burston at about 4.10pm on Thursday.
“All I want to do is be accurate so people know it is not right to say Brian Burston reached out to the Shooters,” the man said. “He didn’t ask me to do it.”
The "old anonymous intermediary trick to allow the pollie to later deny knowledge".
:rolf:

BTW My understanding is that the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers is actually quite disinterested in the nonsense ONP goes on with and could easily be anticipated to react the way Robert Borsak did. So I doubt that a meeting was actually arranged for Friday. Certainly, by Thursday night Borsak was saying they had decided there was no common ground.

Just to add to the circus. Enter another clown.

You're kidding. Turnbull is complaining about Laura Tingle now!
:rolf:

This constant campaign of whinging by "old glass jaw" is getting ridiculous. Turnbull certainly got a kindred spirit in Jim Molan. A pair of precious whingers.

Georgina Downer (yes daughter of he of the fishnets and the tired and emotional disposition) is returning home after 20 years away to run for Daddy's old seat in SA at a by election. Problem is she thinks SA gets too much GST funding and has made it know in the past
Georgina Downer has encountered some controversy over her previous comments, as a policy researcher with a right-wing think-tank, about South Australia getting more than its fair share of the GST.
Turnbull's response- don't worry about that, here's some pork from the barrel we stocked up specially for elections, by screwing the disadvantaged, to partially fund a swimming pool and I am promising bigger tax cuts for the richer among you who bother to pay some income tax.

Are people really that stupid? Malcolm thinks so.

www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2018 ... are_btn_fb

BTW The right wing think tank referred to above is the far right IPA.
