Where to buy Orange now that Allans is gone?

Post by kodou » 01 Oct 2018, 09:53

So this weekend saw the news that Orange is re-issuing the Terror Bass 500w and releasing a new cab in the form of the lightweight OBC112.

This instantly set off GAS for me however I also then found out that Allans/Gallins is more or less gone.

Does anybody know who else stocks the Orange range? Best I could find are places that maybe stock 1 or 2 amps but that's it.

To get the rig from overseas would cost a tidy packet so I'd prefer to not go down that route.

IME buying amps from overseas seems like a good idea ... until they break and you discover the warranty isn't valid in Australia.

Orange lists https://www.australismusic.com.au as their Australian distributor.

Yep that was my thought regarding the warranty as well.

I went to Australis Musics site and they don’t have Orange listed in their brands. I’m wondering if Gallins folding may have buggered up the distribution a bit.

Try ringing them, those distributor websites are notoriously out of date. and lacking useful nformation
