IEM's?

Post by paulplaysbass » 05 Nov 2012, 07:22

I have a pair of Westone UM2s which I use for listening to the iPod when jogging coz they sound great & once they're in they don't move/ fall out like a lot of other earbuds, gotta be careful with traffic though, they are VERY noise isolating. I also like them on long plane trips, they're very comfy.

Bumping this as I can't find anything more recent.
We're a six piece band wanting to try these out. Looking for a wired or wireless customiseable setup.
Any suggestions?

We have 4 aux sends on the mixer.

I'm not sure if this has been posted earlier in the thread, but these look interesting :

I'm also led to believe Behringer has created a cheaper copy of the Avion system which might be a good all-band IEM solution.

Bumping this thread:-

I'll be doing gigs with IEM's and need to get up to speed again with what's available. Happy to a rack setup, don't need wireless (not yet). Won't be doing much BVs in one show, but definitely will for the second show.

Current IEM gear
- Sennheiser CX300ii headphones
- PJB Big Head
- Sennheiser wired IEM belt pack. It's mono but will do for now.
- Behringer 4 Channel mini mixer.

Bass preamps:
Jule Monique M700. (I'll just use the valve Preamp).
Tronographic Rusty Box.
SansAmp ParaDriver
Fishman Platinum Pro Pre/DI (old model)
Empress ParaEQ
Zoom BT-100

Compressor, Limiter:-
I don't have anything. Will look to buy once I know my needs.

Just looking to discuss options for now, plus keen to do future upgrades too. We'll be running iPhone/iPad mixing too... but I'm a noob at that currently.

I think it's the Mackie 1608. Not certain.

No worries. If it was a digital board like a Behringer X32 or XR18, it opens up a heap more options.
