Does anyone have a BAER cab in Brisbane I can try?

Post by blizzard » 25 Mar 2018, 11:13

Hi All,

In my search for a new cab I am very tempted by the BAER ML115 George @ BGD has for sale second hand. I am little cautious buying cabs without having played them. So does anyone have a ML112 or ML115 in the greater Brisbane area I could demo?

Deevo has 4 of the 12s for sale in the Maryborough area. Might be worth the drive?

I did see that Pete, unfortunately won't have much time in the next few weeks for that kind of excursion.

I own the 12" series I and I love it, I happen to seriously dislike the sound of horns in most cabinets and the little speaker in the BAER does it for me, Roger Baer has a whole bunch of new models with different specks these days, unfortunately the importer BassGearDirect does not have any stock currently.

Bill,
After speaking to Roger Baer he explained to us that he is re-designing the ML115, proto-typing a new, more compact 212, and proto-typing a new 112 with horn instead of the 6" mid driver. None of these have been finalised and released for production but when they are, I will be looking to get some new stock.....

LowGroove may be able to help. PM him to try his. I'm considering a couple of Berg cabs or a Berg 610 to match my Bamp but holding back. (not really a great excursion these days once you leave the madness of overgrown Brisbane)
Fender American Elite Jazz ×2, Fender American Deluxe Precision, Fender Jazz, Darkglass M900, Fender Bassman 500, Ampeg SCRI-DI, Baer ML112 cabs x4, Fender Bassman Neo 410, Fender Bassman Neo 115.

Low Groove did offer however I already bought an SWR 4x8 so no need for the Baer cab.
