I have a 55-94 with Bartolini preamp/pups and a 44-94 with the Lakland preamp/pups.
The bart setup is more sought after and has higher trade value (at least in the US Laklands) Some of this is because of little details though, such as countersunk tuners on the headstock on the older Laklands, and the story behind where the BEM boards came from - I am not so sure it is because of the bart electronics.
Personally though - I gig a lot more with the 44-94 as I find the sound easier to dial into the mix. They have a very different sound signature... Ultimately I'd suggest you keep the bass that you like most. Value with the 55-02s is more in what you enjoy playing rather than what the trade value is, as I dont think people care all that much with the skyline lakkies...
