'79 MM Sabre

Post by thedudeabides » 17 Jun 2018, 12:32

Hey Folks, just got this guy back from a refret and fingerboard refinish....and loving it. Great worn-in playability, and huge variety of tones from this one.
Any other Sabre fans on the forum?

That looks like my old girl. I owned that from the mid 90s. The funk is strong in that one.

I used to play with a guy who collected instruments - had original P's, J's a 70's Ray, Strats, Hammond etc.. Every time I opened the case I'd hear a murmer... "You bastard".

Haha, small world hey Vin.
Looks like I'm the caretaker of your bass, and gig.

Thats too freaky. That bass has been playing Jezzas tunes since the 90s... and still is. :rolf:

If you hear any of his old Idiot Son recordings - they were done with the Sabre.
