Duesenberg V-Caster

Post by MrMow » 27 Jan 2016, 11:29

I bought this back in 2011 on a trip to Tokyo, I really don't play guitar any more..
This is basically a Strat style guitar with 3 P90 type pickups, controls are 3 way switch, vol, and middle pickup blend/tone (to the left blends in the middle pup, to the right acts as tone), has the Duesenberg 'Diego' trem system.

In excellent condition, couple of scratches on the back and the front has a small spot of discolouration, came from the dealer like that, looks like maybe it was a factory touchup  no idea.

Plays great, sounds wonderful. Comes with the Duesenberg hardcase, cleaning cloth, trem arm, allen keys and original warranty card.

asking $1500 (blah, payment plans, blah etc).

That is so cool!

What is the sound like? is it pretty much like a Strat or does it have a bit more "cajones" like a P90-fitted Les Paul?

Like a Strat with a fatter tone mixed with a Les Paul with more clarity.. If you've played P90s yeah its sort of somewhere in between!

Paisley, I think these were pre starcaster, they had a pretty messy line up a few years back before they somewhat unified their models..

Slave, hey I can always do payment plans :)

A Duesenberg has long been on the bucket list, but I recently grabbed a Mosrite, so sadly will have to be strong. Of course I guess I could win lotto tonight, so there is still hope :)

I've been spamming every guitarist I know about this super deal. My drummer would have bought it but his Doosy is the exact same model and colour

Thanks Mark!!
It really is a lovely guitar.. But seeing I don't really play guitar and own this and a 52RI Tele.. vaguely overkill!

The main reason I've been pushing it on other people is so I don't buy it myself!
