Re: WTB: Ampeg SCR-DI power supply
I use 9V from my Power Grid 10. Haven’t tried the 12V thingee yet but no complaints when powered by 9V. Don’t really trust my pedals to be run by batteries, just being overly cautious I guess

Re: WTB: Ampeg SCR-DI power supply
Mine does not use much power. I run it off a Warwick Rockboard LT rechargeable battery ($120 from Derringers). Any 9V power supply will work, imho

2045758-04 is the part number for the Ampeg PSU, but it will take any 9V or 12V PSU capable of delivering 100mA.

Re: WTB: Ampeg SCR-DI power supply
Thanks Kat,
Was already aware of that but seems these are hens teeth in Oz. Called retailer today & they informed me Ampeg are in the middle of a distributor changeover in Oz as we speak so Ampeg stocks are a bit of a mess at the moment until the changeover complete & retailers that had a contract with the previous distributor don't necessarily have a contract with the new distributor at the present.
Cheers.

Oh, ANOTHER distribution drama. We don't have enough of those here.
I'm never that happy buying a cheap unknown quantity (and quality) PSU off eBay, That's why I spent an absolute fortune on a Cioks PSU -- at least it shouldn't burst into flames at an inopportune moment and it has enough power options to cover any forseeable configuration of my (modest) pedal requirements. And no more batteries to landfill, which is the most important reason to buy a PSU.

Re: WTB: Ampeg SCR-DI power supply
Altronics, or Aztronics as it is known in Adelaide, have numerous good quality power supplies. I've purchased an 18v one from there for my Tone Hammer, various 9V supplies for Pedal boards with various amp capabilities. I've purchased 12V supplies for my Rolls box and other small mixers.
Jaycar is the other option, but not always the best help there, bit more extensive, and not always the same products.

We have 1 Jaycar up here, there was 2 (1 in Maryborough & 1 in Hervey Bay). Maryborough has shut down along with the rest of the town including manufacturing.Rocksolid wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 10:23Altronics, or Aztronics as it is known in Adelaide, have numerous good quality power supplies. Spoke to the retailer again & he is going to see if the old Ampeg distributor can help. Failing that I'll find something after market online.

Re: WTB: Ampeg SCR-DI power supply
I've got a used Zoom power supply listed on eBay. Runs 9V and up to 500mA, just not sure if it is the same size/polarity tip that Ampeg uses.

Ampeg uses standard Boss type 9V centre negative jacks and plugs

Re: WTB: Ampeg SCR-DI power supply
Thanks Bazz,
Boss/Roland PSA240s now acquired. Expensive little power supply but matches up perfectly, no noise - recommended by me (& Bazz) for Ampeg SCRI-DI. This long drawn out discussion over a simple little power supply now closed.
