FS: Ampeg SVT VR - $2400

Post by cableshumming » 18 Sep 2018, 13:03

This amp has mostly been at our rehearsal space and has only done one gig so far. Well loved. Beautiful Ampeg tone. Comes with padded slip cover.

This amp is a beauty and a beast. A tough decision to let go but I think it's overkill for my needs. This amp has mostly been at our rehearsal space and has only done one gig so far. I would be interested in trading this for an Ampeg V4B plus cash or selling it for $2900. Located in Melbourne.

It’s totally worth the back pain.

To play devils' advocate though, the V4B isn't going to make any difference. I own both, and they're both heavy.
Maybe one of these?

ha ha. The V4B is half the weight though which is doable for me.

Yeah, BIG difference in my opinion. The VR is JUST sublime in its tone and power, the V4B is another (half as heavy) beast entirely. Both great amps.

Yes, i hadda V4, they're near the weight of SVTs.
The new V4B is only 41lbs or summit. Feels lighter than my old Bassman 120 I had in my v youth.
