Post by geggy spoiger » 08 Sep 2018, 03:23

Hi Ozbassers!

For sale is an *almost* mint 9.5/10 Aguilar DB 751.

3X 12AX7 preamp
400w @ 8 ohms
750w @ 4 ohms
975w @ 2 ohms

Tiny amount of wear on the handles & rack ears, otherwise this would present as new.

$2300 shipped anywhere in Australia in a 4ru aluminium roadcase, packed very well

At least you won't have to worry about being short of good gear after you sell this.
Will play for food.

Ha right? The Aggie is certainly great but I’ve got a lot of gear that cops the same sort of tone as one another.

I’ve given a bunch of light weight heads a fair run but none of it floats my goat. The Mesa V12 is under 30lbs, and considering its power and features I think that’s pretty good.

PM’s replied to.

Pickup available from Gosford NSW as well. Cheers guys! :drinkingbuddies:

How do these compare to the DB750? quite similar I woudl think? I owned a DB750 years back and do miss the tone!

Slightly different eq points for the bass, mid n treb controls apparently. And more range FOR the eq-ing. Some like it, some don't.
Ive gotta 750 and sure the eq IS limited, but with the hi n lo boost, I find there's plenty. Plus, these just do what they do SO well... I don't want for any extra eq. Can't remember playing a 751, so I can't comment on the actual differences between the eq points

Yes they’re much more similar than different. Same power section, removed 1 tube from the pre to lower noise (only what I’ve read), bass & treble frequencies are the same, mids on 751 are 800hz vs 400hz on the 750.
