WTB/WTT: my berg nv115s for your ref 112s

Post by sprag » 17 Aug 2018, 22:21

Looking to buy a pair of Berg ref 112s

For trade bait I have a pair of nv 115s. bought these off stinkypete in January. I've gigged them once. They live at the bands rehearsal studio the rest of the time (electronic kit so never get pushed) immaculate condition - I can't even find anything wrong with the covers.
$850 trade value each, located in melbourne sth east.

Only really looking for a pair of Berg Ref112s. considered. Not interested in cash sale at this stage.

Happy to do a straight swap if in excellent condition with covers - which according to BGD pricing, is a loss for me but I cant lift like I used to and I'm hoping to start gigging a little more frequently.

Unfortunately my Refs are keepers sorry. But if you change your mind on selling the NV115s to fund some 12’s, I’d be keen.

Going full circle Ben? I still have your NV115 as one of my 2. Never heard the Ref112s but thoroughly enjoy my NV115s, with both my B|Amp and Quilter BB800.

Nah - I’m keeping the Refs, and I love my 610, but sometimes a Vintage 15 is nice as well!

Sorry if this is off topic...but here goes. How does two nv115's compare to the nv 610? I have both but only one nv115. Watching this thread hoping O.P decides to sell

I personally think 2 NV115s is closer to an NV412. I tried a 610 before purchasing a 412. And much preferred the 412. The 610 was too mid forward for my tastes and I don't hear that in the NV115s

Agree with the comments above - but I’d say where sitting an SVT on top, the 610 really shines. The cab and head baseline EQs match together magically - takes back some of the honk, and gives a thunderous low end heft.

That's interesting Rocksolid. I had an Aggie DB212 and couldn't get over the mid bump. It sounded good but IMO was a one trick pony. Not an issue with the Nv610.
I'm using a super bassman with the 115 and 610 cabs separately but only recently got the 610 out of storage. Played a gig with the 610 on friday was reminded how damn good it was.
I do like the idea of a modular 2x15 rig.

That's funny. I just got a pair of db 112s as a light option for vintage tone. And am looking for the ref 112s to cover everything else (and still be light)so I totally agree with the one trick pony descriptor... but OH, it's a great trick. I've had the nv610 as well as the 15s. They are both brilliant but not the same
