SOLD MESA Walkabout Scout head plus 2 x Walkabout cabs

Post by MrChameleon » 01 Oct 2017, 09:14

I have a Mesa Walkabout Scout setup for sale

It consists of:

1 x MESA Walkabout Scout head
1 x MESA Walkabout Scout 15" combo-cabinet with castors
1 x MESA Walkabout Scout 12" combo-cabinet
1 x MESA Walkabout Scout original head carry-bag
1 x MESA Walkabout Scout original cover for the 15" cab
1 x FF 1/4" adaptor to use the cabs with another head

All in very good condition, all bought from prominent members of this august forum.

Let me know if you want more info, I can put you in touch with previous owners if you want more provenance detail or opinion.

I will split out one of the cabs if you want everything but one of them - they are rather special stand-alone cabs too.

Price is $1700 OVNO.

Located in the Southern Highlands of NSW but can deliver to Sydney CBD or courier at your expense.

Hey
I'm very interested in this setup. May be tempted to buy the whole lot but just curious how much the 15 cab would be with the head? Many thanks. Your welcome to give me a call at 0451178237.

Mad swag! Is the 15" combo cab from vintone? If so that's my old one, sounded great. Nothing quite like a walkabout for sound, it's a killer head.

Pretty cool, yeah?

Possibly yes. The head and 15" cab belonged to bassline when I bought them, and the 12" cab belonged to vintone.

Could you please send me some detailed pics?

I bought both the head and the 15" cab from vintone. No issues, Sold them to fund other purchases.

The combo rivals an Ampeg B15 but louder and more EQ options, sounded esp great with Fender style basses.

Seriously good prices here.

Both these cabs are great as standalone cabs with a diff amp BTW - and anyone owning an Eden WT550 can slot their head into the amp cavity.

I have a buyer for the 12" cabinet.

I would ideally like to sell the head and a cabinet together so if you're thinking about it, now is the time to speak up!

Failing all else I will sell the cabinet on its own at the end of this week.

Thanks for looking.

 Really? IIRC this one has a hand wound power transformer by boutique tube amp maker John Rataczyck. Tempted to buy it back.

Would you trade the head for an LM2 with bag?

I don't want to sell them, I just have too much stuff and not enough space (let alone talent) to justify keeping everything I now have.

A mate has a man-cave set up as a rehearsal space but is moving away, so I bought the whole set up from him - drum kit, 2x12 bass cabs, class D bass head, guitar amp, mixer, 2 x PA speakers with stands, 2 x microphones with stands, 2 x guitar stands, 2 x music stands. My man-cave is far too small to fit all that and my other stuff in it.

So I am just selling what I have multiples of, that will sell, in order to raise some cash and make some space.
