FS Fender Player-Franklinstein P/J - Suit New Buyer $900

Post by CrayZee_Bass » 01 Dec 2018, 17:18

Hi all,

I built a second Franklinstein as a back up only a few months ago and it's just as good as the first (I built one years ago and it has been my go-to ever since!). I have my eye on other things and do I really need a back up?
Anyway, the bass;

New 2018 Fender player series body in Polar White and hardware, New Fender player series Pau Ferro c-shaped neck and hardware.
New Genuine Tony Franklin Signature model pups, electronics and scratchplate.
All parts purchased new from The Stratosphere and assembled (body routed) at The Guitar Shop in Brisbane.

From the Fender website:
This bass features the tonally versatile combination of a pummeling split single-coil Precision Bass® middle pickup and a growling Jazz Bass® bridge pickup, widely known in bass guitar circles as a "P/J" pickup configuration. The specially voiced Tony Franklin Jazz Bass single-coil bridge pickup has hex-screw pole pieces and ceramic bar magnets.

The 3-way switch delivers the pure tone of each individual p/up when selected and a great blend in the middle position. The p/ups are very well balanced and have a nice punch to them, but not over aggressive.

Strung with Kalium balanced hybrid set 102s

Folks this bass is brand new and looking for a new home.

Choice of generic soft bag or semi-soft hardcase.
Shipping at buyers expense or pickup from Kangaroo Point Qld 4169

$900

Thank you good sir!
It certainly came up well.
I'd definitely keep it if I didn't have other financial demands.

Make me an offer, this has to go, bills to pay.

Our remaining beloved dog just cost us 5k at vet hospital so I need to recoup some funds.

Bumping this awesome bass for sale.
If you want a good strong P sound, this has it in spades thanks to the 3 way p/u selector. Great P/J sound in the middle and a J pick up hot enough to hold its own.

I keep wanting to take this out and jam/gig with it but I'm keeping it minty for sale. It's only been to a few jams, It's in newer condition than most basses on the shop wall!

Make an offer, worst I can say is no.

Cheers,
Mark.
