Fred Hammond Dark Star Precision SOLD

Post by Ronanbass » 14 May 2018, 15:37

Hey everyone, here's one I'm sure most have seen before.

I bought this off Miermana last year but I've barely played it because I'm only really playing upright, so I'm going to move it on. It's a really tasty bass, the necks feels great and it sounds huge.

Specs/upgrades that I'm aware of:
80's MIJ Fender Body
All Parts(last owner said his luthier pulled it apart and claimed it was warmoth)neck with Hipshot machines
Fred Hammon Dark Star pup
Custom headstock decal

Routing of pup cavity and insertion of new alder block (previously, the Dark Star was just jammed into the P pup cavity with a lot of empty space)
New shielding
Cutting and installation of new deluxe tort plate
Set up

Bridge replaced with Gotoh 201

Comes with a hard case and strung with Fender flats at the moment.

Pickup in Ivanhoe, asking $1050 firm.

Thanks, Ronan

Was one of my faves, sound wise, this one. Fab bass in a blues trio or anywhere you need to cut through the mix
