Put a set of steels on my 5 string Yamaha, and I absolutely love them. I had a set of pretty fresh Dr Lo Riders on there before, and the R Coccos just put them to shame in my opinion, especially the slap tone, immense
And only $30!
Thanks heaps Jon. :notworthy:

I've had mixed results with these strings.

The SS set on my old Yamaha sound great. With both the SS and nickel sets I've tried on my Warmoth the low B and E strings were dull sounding straight out of the box.

I have a set of DR lo-riders on my Streamer that sound magic, so I've ordered some of those to try on the Warmoth. Is it possible the R Coccos are just not suited to that bass?

Not had that issue before.

Could be faulty set.

Stay tuned to 1st of Dec for our big Xmas sales as strings are going to be moving. Can also try the EBS strings which are stunning!

When you guys string up a bass, do you “bed” the strings?
What I do is after it’s all strung up and tuned to pitch, I push down on the string quite hard just in front of the saddle to bend the string over the saddle and create a strong witness point. I find that by doing this, the string rings truer and clearer.
The thicker strings, the B and E, are the most in need of this treatment.

I haven't tried that before but perhaps I need to. To be honest I haven't found a B or E string yet for the Warmoth that ring as true and clear as I would like and expect. Perhaps this is the problem, or there is something with the bass?! I've so far only tried 3 sets on it - 2 of them being R Cocco and one being Elixir which I didn't like the feel or sound of.
