Ha! I was right, it was Porsche Silver. The first 500 were apparently pearl white, but the finish was unstable so they refinished a bunch in the Porsche Silver: http://www.stratcollector.com/newsdesk/ ... 00093.html

mmmm...the silver is sexier than the pearl white, IMO...by a factor of 6.837 :D

Lovely stuff Phil. These colours are so retro. Very pastel like. They remind me of the colours fn some of the classic Hollywood movies. Think High Society.

I've always liked Shoreline Gold. Will be interesting to see what you're eBay chip looks like.

On another note, I went and bought the 6 colours I was missing from the 1965-1970 years, I figured I might as well have all of them :shrug:, ones I just bought:

There's no paint chips available on that one but I can do it, i've got enough images of blond finishes around to be able to get it matched

and definitely matching headstock!!! No matter what colour....
