680 is cheap for certain cables. Not this one. B>

Yes, marketed for studio-use only. These really are drilling down to an ultimate n'th degree, but would a studio run equipment that would allow discernment of the effect of, say, 0.3 nano Farad added by their 3m cable, compared to whatever capacitance of a 'standard' high-quality cable would be. Or as suggested, go digital.

Get the perfect cables - and then run your instrument through a distortion pedal

And have the final result played at low bitrate from a phone through cheap headphones

Why bother with headphones? Just use the phone speakers ;) .
