If people think this thread is about lying in wait and jumping on something cool that pops up, then I'd say that's against the spirit of the original concept. Now that a few deals have been done, I'd expect the recipients to be also putting free stuff up so things don't become one way traffic.

I'll be rummaging through my stuff over the weekend if I get time, but I'll be disappointed if any of my freebies get claimed by someone who has only a handful of posts on the forum. This thread should be for active forum members to help each other out.

But that's just my thoughts on the matter.

I've got an idea. Let's only make the free stuff available to donating members (in blue)?

Donating members and/or people who have contributed to the giveaways (donating member or not)?

:)

I always wondered how you got the blue thingy.
I donated to the Brisbane GTG does that qualify me?
I think with the hoard of gear I have, I will most likely be the one giving it away.

Okay I have my first item.
This is a Sabine BT-316M Backtrak riff decoder and digital sampler machine.
It runs on a 9volt DC output adaptor at 300mA which does not come with the unit.
This does not come with a box or manual, just the item itself.
I have not used this for a few years but it was working when I last had it.
I think I paid about $100 2nd hand 4 years ago.
Pickup from Brisbane Southside or $6 postage to anywhere in Aust.
Does that sound fair to charge for postage?
Only condition of sale is that the receiver should list something (of any value) on this thread.
How does this sound??

So is it basically first in first served, or do I have to make up the ruling for who gets the stuff offered?

I'd also agree it's a bit ridiculous shotgunning things you haven't even seen on here yet. It's like me saying, OK I shotgun the next cool thing anyone posts on here! Not really the spirit of it.

I realise this is probably more a local freebie thing, but I have a bit ruffed up/patched up Warwick double gig bag if anyone wants. It's at least good for storing a couple of basses safely, though I'm sure it'd be fine carrying them places as well!

I do like the donating member/free stuff thread contributor idea though!
