Not sure if the owner knows what theu have. In the add they say they are selling a Sterling Ray 34 but I think they have and actual Music Man Sterling

Is $1200 really that cheap for a sterling?

There are 9 tuning machines, 9 nut slots and 8 bridge saddles. I am not sure who Stuart Male is, but I don't think I would want my name on that headstock
Basses: Wasburn Status 4, Fretless 4 made from parts, Fretted through neck 5 made by me
Amp: Eminar bass 400 into home made cab with JBL 15"

The Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling retail for +$3.5k. They are similarly priced to the Stingray. You don't see them very often.

The Sterling by Music Man Ray34 Retails for under $2k.

If it's and actual Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling in good condition in an Ernie Ball hard case then it seems like a good price. If its a Ray34 then it's on the high side for price.

The selector and logo on the head stock suggest Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling

Yeah, I reckon he wishes he'd saved up for one of Charlie's new guitars now.

Don't see these every day in Australia.

Doesn't seem to want to come up on a normal search of Australian eBay under "Fender Bass". I found it through a Facebook group.
