This price has to be a joke.
Sensible offers invited. I'm in no hurry to sell it so no point offering below market value.

Well he did say he's in no hurry. It should catch up with inflation in about 40 years.

I would've thought 1-1.5k for SG standard . Not sure what limited run/colour does for it. Depends how much some one wants it.
2.5k max IMO.

They pop up regulaly at Ishibashi UBox for around AUD$1000. As well as the pink from memory there was a light blue and a cream in that limited range, and possibly a surf green as well?

Yeah It's crazy, I don't know why there are 'sellers' who will list a bass for years and years at a ridiculous price

^ It's not just ridiculous- $6K is beyond that.
$6K on a Gibson Bass would probably get you a very nice vintage TBird, if you could find one.

Think about what sort of a Fender P Bass you would get for $6K.. You would be wanting something a lot better than a couple of year old bass in an unusual colour.

That's a good asking price, can always come down. The Fretless versions always sell for more - few were made & people hold onto them. Those cases fetch a few hundred too.

Pity about the Machine heads, but they're toasted on most of these. It would tidy up nicely: the electronics appear all original, the 'fret'board looks in really good condition due to those tapewound strings - it's not a bad find actually.

A set of Hipshot ultralites are a perfect fit for the originals and help with the weight.

I think it's good price.

I own a 9/10 MC924DS (its fretted twin) and I wouldn't sell mine for that price.

Ok I've found a Yamaha BB1025x, this is pretty difficult to come across these days in Oz. I had to import mine after missing out when this seller had it at $999. It is brand new and shipping is $150. I piked on it and regretted it, eventually got mine off talkbass, had a nervous wait cos of CITES. It's back up at $899....

That shipping quote must set by the seller? I could probably drive down and pick it up for $150 8| 8|
Just had a look at the listing - the $150 is a hardcase plus a courier.
