Life's gotten in the way over the last few weeks. A bit of travel for work, and some late nights. The good news is I'm finishing the body so a lot of oiling and sanding. The neck is attached so I need to do fretwork and electronics and then I'm done.

Hoping the Easter weekend is a productive one

So status update - odds of me getting it finished this weekend are looking slim, but the finishing is basically done.

Some front and backs for yas:

Tried re-doing that back cover with a different wood type for contrast and just couldn't get it to fit as well as the current cover. I'm keeping it how it is for now, and don't seem to care that much as the back will be hidden from 90% of people anyway.

Looks trick Davin. You can always do the back cover again at your leisure.

Love it, Davin, ace. And interesting take on the positioning of the neck screws, personal touch there.

Michael

Yeah, I didn't bother with the threaded inserts. Positioning made sense as it's equidistant between each screw and the neck taper follows the body shape at the back. Im hopeful there's no negatives in what I've done.

Thanks Ivan - great to meet you too. What a coincidence to be in the bass centre right when you were buying a case.

Well I've done nearly everything bar the setup. I needed to dowel up the bridge and shift it a mm to one side, but luckily that is covered by the bridge itself. I'm hopeful it will all align.
