Looks great, Ivan. Not looking forward to dressing the frets on Friday but has to be done.

Regards,
Michael
The Hosco file in the first photo (yello handle) was really useful. It has two concave filing edges which makes the whole task quite easy. I've not seen it before.....think its a recent addition to the workshop tools.

LOL.....Nearly there Drew. Still have to polish the body and then install the hardware and electronics. Oh....and the magnetic battery cover needs some work too.

How have you been? I assume you're overseas at the moment?

Weekend builders update.

Nearly there......but not just yet. Spent some time at the MSGM workshop today working on the shielding, hardware, pickguard and neck attachment. Busy day and great to catch up with Bernie aka Cleary from Ozbass, doing some fancy fretwork

Shielding done with 25mm aluminium tape and lining up the bridge and neck. Thanks for offering the use of your nickel paint Michael, very generous as usual. I may give it a go next time.

Neck signed and ready to go on:

And we're all done.....from the back at least :)
This thing balances beautifully in a seated position. Very happy so far.

Still need to install the electronics, shape the nut and whack on the strings.....and we're done

This thing looks amazing Ivan, it was great to catch up and I was stoked to be able of see this build in person (and with the neck on). Your attention to detail on it was an excellent lesson for me too... Unfortunately rushing through my refret was sort of the only option I had... Mostly cause I'm impatient 😁 (but also because I only had the two days).

All good, after the first day I was a little concerned I'd run out of time on the Saturday (which I did :p) so I didn't get much chatting time in the end anyway.
I had a ball, there'll definitely be more opportunities :D

Thanks, the whole process has been such an enjoyable experience. If all goes to plan it should be finished this coming Saturday.....NBD :) Feels like the end of an epic journey, or is it just the beginning?
