Works for me.

And good choice of electronics (although I have to say that the combination Delano pu and Nordstrand pre works better for me - the Glockenklang in the 5 string Kermit is great, don’t get me wrong, but doesn’t seem to be quite as “authoritative”).

Regards,
Michael
That's good to know. I guess the electronics can always be changed out if needed, so I'll keep the Nordstrand in mind. Is it 3 band active passive?

By the way, I also have a Fodera M2000 preamp in a stomp box so it will be intereting comparing that to the onboard Glock.

Yep, it's the 3b-3. Problem will be the number of holes - 3 for the Nordstrand, presumably 5 for the Glockenklang.

Michael

Easy fix.......I just make another pickguard with three holes instead of 5.

Ahhh, pickguard. I don’t allow myself that luxury ;) .

loving the design mate, a man after my own heart! That burst is sumptuous too, almost what I would order direct from Canada if I had the chance! ;)

It's gonna be a beauty Craig. F bass inspired shape with Delano JMVC 4 FE/M2 split coil humbucker pickups (as in the new Hadrien Feraud Mayones Jabba) and a 3 band Glockenklang pre - active/passive with passive tone control.....and (wait for it there's more) a Dingwall inspired magnetic battery cover with a low battery level indicator :)

This has been a long time in the making and if time permits, will hopefully be finished within the next couple of months. :partydance:

Wow please tell me it’s gonna be 70s pickup spacing? Love the finish and simplicity! Magnetic battery cover is a great idea, have you check out the Stenback basses ‘brass tone weight’ that he screws to the inside of the control cavity plate?? Seems to add some mojo!!

This one is 60's spacing, which is just my personal preference. I have indeed seen the Stenback basses video with the brass tone weight voodoo. It's something that I'm thinking of playing around with. I think the theory is that the mass of the metal/magnet/brass weight makes up for the loss of mass due to the routing of the electronics cavity. Definitely something for further investigation.

Very impressive... although not sure about this “hopefully finished within the next couple months” comment. Doesn’t look like there is that much left to do.

Ok.....the pressures on now. Will have to keep it simple as most of my spare time has been spent building instead of playing. :help
