Apologies

Post by drbass » 02 Aug 2019, 08:58

Hi all,

I was brought to my attention that some members of the OzBass community perceived my "NBD" posts as inappropriate and "commercial in tone.

It was never my intention to "pimp" my stuff - I genuinely thought it might be of general interest - and I unreservedly apologise to everyone who felt that way.

From now on I will refrain from such posts in the Basses forum and will restrict myself to updates in the Lutherie section.

Again, sincere apologies.

Regards,
Michael

For someone who gives so much to this community I'm sorry you felt like you had to apologise.

I apologise to you, for not doing something earlier, to curb your enthusiasm. Anyhow, it's too late now, so carry on unfettered.

For what it's worth, I've always followed your posts on this, including your NDB (prototypes built for yourself) posts with extreme interest.

I doubt that is the view of the majority here. I love your posts and those from all the talented luthiers on here. It's truely a pleasure to look at the beautiful basses built by our members. Please don't stop your posts mate, sincerely.

Apology accepted but not asked for from my end. Just keep doing what you do and I'll keep enjoying looking at the results and learning from your "features".

You know for a while there we were almost free of classifieds on the active page.

I love your work Michael and don't want to see it removed from OzBass. I didn't think I would see the day when we had an "unreserved" apology here.. I thought they were for special people like Eddie Maguire when he insults or racially vilifies someone :hmm

Yeah, OK... but did you die? :D

Yes, I do suppose the lutherie section is appropriate spot.

All good, Michael... we now know where to find those beauties...

Keep building, bassing, and being happy. (and don't die)

What a bunch of complaining busy body's with nothing better to do. Obviously they have early onset alzheimer's & dementia so will be a challenge in old folk's facilities to look after.

Technically they are new bass's so they do belong as a NBD post. Most importantly they have the best finished top's I have seen and out do some of the big names I have owned in that regard.

The anonymous complainer cyber bullies have obviously spent too much time in talkbass and should resign from this community.

Please don't refrain from the posts just to please these simpleton complainers, they are purely jealous.

Instead of posting the apology in response to the complaint, perhaps you could have just posted this "B ASS" related video :rolf:
