Serious question... from this side of the world, with only a few youtube vids to go on... How can we really tell the "new voicings" are better than the old ones?
They’re probably “new” because of the loss of weight ;) .

I think it stopped earlier this week.

While you’re looking for the other stuff I’m not getting notifications of PMs by email any more. Sorry.
Same ... . But that was the case before the offline time. Also no notification of new posts to subscribed threads.

Re: FS only: Warwick WA600 and 611 Pro

Kinda tempted ... Yeah like this would fit in your car, even with the roof off! But if you're a little tempted then talk to me these IP310's don't come around very often. A good night's sleep has put me back into the "sanity prevails" frame of mind. Fitting the car is not an issue (we DO have...

Re: Future Builds - Kinda Not Random

Might be time to close this thread, too long, too old, too irrelevant. Sydney was great and I have three commissions from the mini-GTG (and two potential future commitments), plus one from the Melbourne Guitar Show so I'll be busy in the next few months. Never thought I'd go there but one of the Syd...

Re: Informal Sydney Mini-GTG

Are we there yet? Yes, we are, I arrived back home just after 12, beautiful sunny skies here in Melbourne after a grey day in Sydney. First of all a VERY big thank you to Tim and Nadia (and their adorable German shepherd) for providing the venue and outstanding hospitality - I really appreciate this...

Mine was "Australians should remember to change their smoke alarm batteries every new prime Minister"
I don’t know, Bruce,

Sounds like wasting perfectly good batteries to me considering the frequency of change ... ;) .

Re: NBD 89' Warwick Thumb 6 string neck thru

My very first build (Red Baron) has Warwick tuners, perfectly fine, not that heavy really. I highly recommend you check out their online store. From memory the nut is a Just-a-Nut 1 ... Re: Informal Sydney Mini-GTG

Great stuff Tim. Still awaiting timings for my son’s football gala day but should be good to attend. I can bring a Berg Ref 210 cab and Genz Benz Streamliner head if we want alternative amp/can options? FINALLY got gala day details and it’s all in the morning and close by so I can attend that and t...

Re: NBD 89' Warwick Thumb 6 string neck thru

Looks great, Pete. The nut is the same on mine, interesting concept that wouldn’t be hard to replicate. Pickup position of the bridge pu is pretty extreme but probably contributes to the sound character. 6.2 kgs? Well, no thanks ... . And I really don’t know how Warwick are getting away with the pre...
