Re: Anyone near North Lakes (Qld) who could pick up a bass

I've noticed a bass on Gumtree that would neatly fit a need I have for a music room here. Is anyone in the area would could take my cash to fetch it from a nervous gumtree seller, and then be a courier pickup point for me to ship it down to Sydney? Willing to add a margin of several refreshing beve...

Re: Prime minister

Dutton does not seem to understand that as a Minister he has to make decisions and be able to defend them. Threatening to breach privacy and somehow embarrass Labor MPs for asking for his consideration on behalf of their constituents shows he just does not get it. As a nation we dodged a bullet- thi...

^ Yes, but you've just described how all of the cabinet/caucas flip-flopped by the minute. In that environment even John the Baptist could "misread the numbers".
That is true.

Re: Prime minister

It appears to me that because Turnbull made his pre-emptive move, not knowing Dutton didn't have the numbers, then the die was cast - and subsequently, someone (Morrison) would either seize the opportunity, or the party would have a 'lame duck' PM. How much that was contrived, if at all, is anyone'...

I seem to remember Turnbull having his seat just fall in his lap when he was preselected. Don't feel too sorry for him.
I don't- there were shenanigans there too.

Re: Prime minister

One can only speculate. “They had so damaged him there was no coming back,” says one MP. If so, new blood (so to speak) was better - imagine the taunts from the opposition if a PM survived a leadership vote, after having a virtual vote of no confidence against him by his own party? (even if falsely...

Re: Prime minister

who the Prime Minister is now and may be learning more about him. Looks like he needs the wisdom of Solomon to handle such situations. I doubt he has the wisdom of Solomon, or much wisdom at all given his Ministerial performances, but he is backed by someone with a very big megaphone, but very poor...

Your Ts and Os more like! Your description of being like a P on steroids is appealing to me, I may have to add a bird to my own collection...
The description is a good one.

We will add your biological distinctiveness. Resistance is futile.

Re: Prime minister

I reckon we are watching Dutton get feed to the sharks (forgive the ScoMo related pun). I went to the pictures yesterday and saw The Meg, This is starting to get serious. Pretty clearly he has misled Parliament on a number of occasions. https://tendaily.com.au/news/politics/a180831zwq/dutton-may-hav...

Re: Prime minister

about time someone told Dutton and Gillon that bribery does not only relate to payments for favours. It also applies to rich influential people stepping in for their families and friends to influence a Minister's decision. Whilst pointing out that the third party just happens to contribute vast sum...

Re: Prime minister

In reference to the Op's initial question, we know who the Prime Minister is now and may be learning more about him. Considering referring his competition to the High Court. https://www.news.com.au/national/breaking-news/labor-keeps-up-dutton-eligibility-pressure/news-story/e0dd8dabbd6e1c110e3777baf...
