Now if this were a 5....
Same here; I've got a 4 string Warwick $$ Fretless Vette, & love it; a 5'er is definitely on the bucket list.

Re: FS- Cole Clark Long Lady 5 - $2550 shipped

The main issue I have it the positioning on my body - I just can't get comfortable with it at all and with some residue carpal tunnel issues my wrists are aching after playing the bass . Adjusting the strap height lower helps but then this puts more pressure on my right hand and moves the bass to o...

Re: EMG’s In bridge position; your favourites?

I've had a rather good time with a neck P5, and a bridge DC in my Rebops. (one with regular, one with Xs). I think the non-X J is lower output than the DC. B> It’s interesting you mentioned the P5; I’ve been doing some research tonight & wondering if I should throw the CS back in the bridge & try a...

EMG’s In bridge position; your favourites?

I’m looking at reconfiguring the EMG 40 pickups in my Spector Euro 5. When I first got it years ago it had a DC/DC setup. While I really liked the DC in the neck position, I wasn’t so hot on it in the bridge, so I swapped it out for a CS, which worked a lot better for me. A couple of weeks ago I tho...

https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1849/43422975884_dfea0bb459_k.jpg Basses 3 by Dash McIvor , on Flickr I always liked the look of the ATK 5 string. I had the 4 string but never got a chance to play the 5er. What's it like? I’m actually really enjoying playing it; when I first got it I wasn’t too sure...

Re: Let's See Your Basses... TWO! (Post Photobucket $)

How do you like the Italia Maranello? I had the semi-hollow piezo 'Z' version. Would still consider the solid body in red or silver sparkle. I like it; I'm currently running flats on it & it has a great feel with them on it. About the only Con (for me anyway) is the electronics let it down a bit; t...

Re: Let's See Your Basses... TWO! (Post Photobucket $)

A couple of these have departed company since the pics were taken, & there's another 4 or 5 Basses that aren't in any pics I can lay my hands on; however this is probably about as much of a complete Family pic as I'm going to manage at this point in time. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1890/29...

Ooohh a classic Warwick. Nice one Pete - when is the NBD post happening?
Haha; that was my first thought too when I read that!

I've only ever played two Thumbs from the '80s, & they were both stunners!

Re: Warwick Corvette 5 string (German) info...

The Vette's are definitely a niche Instrument; unique feel & a very distinctive mid-focused tone. Players that they appeal to will absolutely love them; however they're not everyones cup of tea, & just don't sit with a lot of players (the Vette's are by far the most common Warwick I see come up for ...

Re: Blue Bass Owners Show Your Bass(es)!

Apart from a DeArmond Ashbory (which I haven't laid eyes on for years), this Italia Maranello is my sole Blue Bass. This is the only snap I have of it; although it looks almost as black as the others in this pic, it's actually a gaudy blue sparkle! :p <a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.fl...

Re: 1980 IBANEZ ROADSTER...amazing bass !!!!!!

This particular model of Roadster are real sleepers; great Basses with an amazing 'old Fender' like growl to them.

I have a maple board Fretless in the same model (active), & as long as my bum still points towards the ground it's not going anywhere!!
