Re: Lakland Hanson VS Bartolini

I have no idea if one would be more sought after than the other. One thing for sure though, that's a fabulous problem you have right there :) Nice basses!

Re: Finding a drummer?

Order a pizza to be delivered? If they knock in time they're probably not a drummer. What if the knocking speeds up, slows down, and he doesn't know when to come in? There's probably two people at the door. Your new drummer and a lead singer. You'll know it's a singer by all the fumbling to find a ...

it's really just for freaking out the soundman when I sneek up behind him during soundchecks lol, well, that happened in the 90s, I'm guessing soundpeople are used to this by now haha
These days sound guys can sneak up on *you* if they have the iPad interface with the desk :)

Re: Probably too fussy?

Aw man I feel for you, that looks awful and what a terrible overall experience for you. And what on earth happened to the back of the neck (among all the other problems)? Sheesh. Sorry, this must be extremely upsetting for you!

My last 24hours experience with him has been very frustrating. I wish I had never ordered anything from him in the first place.
Pretty much how it was for me too. Good luck with it mate!

Re: Big Stingray changes by Ernie Ball

I admire Sterling Ball's nose for business. He's managed EBMM through a particularly difficult era in instrument production. He's held off the Chinese, kept a legion of fans mostly happy and continued to build quality instruments. I do think it's ironic that he is 're-voicing' the stingray with 18v...

Re: Big Stingray changes by Ernie Ball

Interesting. I guess one day they'll also include an active/passive switch with passive tone roll off. String thru body option would also be nice :2c: There have been stingray models before with string-thru. Someone will correct me, but my understanding of why they've never offered a passive switch...

Re: Single Bridges

<SNIP> Question: does anyone have experience with single bridges (good quality)? I had a look at the Babicz and like what I see but they’re just a little expensive. <SNIP> Regards, Michael I have never tried one and I have no idea whether the Babicz makes any difference at all, but the engineering ...
