Withdrawn - 1968 Sunburst Fender Precision Bass

Post by dogswamp » 13 Aug 2018, 00:19

Decided nor to sell ... back to public school for the kids

1968 Precision bass, B neck, all original except for new pots (I still have the originals) and a professional refret in 2013.
I have the original bridge cover but pickup cover is missing, asking $4900.

I have been told the case is also original, it certainly looks like a 1960's case, but it is in full working order including all three (rusty) latches. I'll add some pics of the case soon.

This has been my main bass for the last 5 years, I'm in two minds about selling but need to raise some cash for another PBass I'm very keen to buy.

The frets are still in great condition as I have been using Flatwounds the whole time I have had the bass.

I bought the bass from Qld, possibly from the second owner, looks like the original owner inscribed his initials and birthdate on the base of the neck JH140530 Q.

This is a great playing bass, evident from the wear. I won't part with it unless I get the price I'm chasing, so please no low ball offers.

I had a '61 PBass I bought in 1988 for $900, and subsequently sold in 1992 after I started playing Dobro. Should have put it under the bed for 20 years.
