NCD New Combo Day!

Post by FunkyJase » 12 Jul 2018, 20:31

So having been getting away with just an Eden EX112 and a GK MB500 for small bar gigs and jams, I thought I'd get a 210 cab to slot in between the little 112 and the loud AF yet spectacularly warm Lab Systems 212.

Then I saw this used Markbass CMD 121P for sale. I love the Markbass sound so tried it, loved it and bought it.

By itself it's a lot nicer, louder and clearer then the GK/Eden. Stacked on top of the eden it's amazing. Sitting next to it, with one cab front ported and the other rear ported and both with ground contact? Amazeballs!

Looking forward to a gig where both together is viable. Thinking Blues Train next month :-0
Cant wait...

The skateboard is cool, but I can see someone standing on the edge during a gig and launching the pedals across the stage. :hmm

Ha nah it's heavy duty velco - you need a screwdriver to pry them off - they aint going anywhere :-)
It is kinda cool to kick it up and catch it "Marty McFly" style at the end of the gig though...

I find the Markbass 112 to be a great speaker.

Very nice, I got the cmd 121h version and I love it, I've actually been gigging with just that a lot although even though I don't need it i would like the extension 112

Its great with the Eden - I'd love to hear how it sounds with the NY Markbass ext speaker too but at that price.... eesh

Also - Why does the extension cab have a tweeter control but the combo doesnt?
