Recommend a good multi-guitar stand

Post by Petebass » 15 Apr 2018, 08:19

The ones I get from eBay aren't good enough. The little bit that holds the necks in place are too flimsy. One bump and they snap off.

Needs to hold at least 5 electric basses. What's your recommendation? Or perhaps you are offloading one?

Yep, that one. I suggest the full five as the three upgraded to 5 is a bit squeezy.

I think it's a Warwick (but could be wrong) - designed for 5 but easily holds 9 if you're careful.

Is it made of nitro-safe rubber bits?

It gets a little “sticky” but I haven’t noticed any marks on any of the finishes.

That would make me a little nervous. I like the form factor though.

Although the stand appears to have made the middle one go all blue. :)

I have 2 Warwick ones, one in the music room and another to go out with. Their pretty good but the foam ends keep coming off the one that travels, then you have a bare metal tube to deal with when you put the bass back in the keeper.

Mark: I would think you could build one of those stands for a lot less than what they are selling for. Wouldn't be a difficult project either.

$400? US? Hmmm, definitely project time.

Oh good grief, my newly ex-wife was always thinking of things to do from old church pews. I thought those days were over :)

^speaking of guitar stands and church pews... we had one of those 3-guitar stands at church... guitars hung from 3 sides...

it was possessed by demons!!!!
It fell over with my Yamaha electric guitar hanging from it and drove the tone knob through the pickguard!

Cursed thing! I took it, performed an exorcism to the tip with it! BE CURSED, YE FOUL DEMON-POSESSED GUITAR STAND!!!
