Has anyone had any experience with durbano magnetics.

Hi all. I'm a newbie here. Has anyone dealt with the above supplier. I am modding a Chinese Hofner club bass with a pair of their Firebird style mini humbuckers. The PUPs are being hand made and tweaked for hollowbody bass. The company is also known as Mr Fabulous guitars.

Welcome to the forum Lyrebird. Great to have you. I've never heard of Durbano or Mr Fabulous, but I'm sure all the PU nerds on here will be interested in your findings.

I don't know anything about durbano magnets but I do know Mr Fabulous. Didn't know he dealt with basses. He's easy to talk to, get along, and deal with.

Thanks guys will let you know how it turns out. The bass itself seems to be soundly built and very pretty. With a set of flats and some good pickups it could be quite a decent instrument. I am biased of course because my main bass is a 50 year old MIJ violin in very original condition.
