These guys and another out of shot showed up at the window this morning carrying on until I got up and put some seed in the feeder, as they often do when it is overcast, I thought I would take a pic or two.

Yes, the Kings, the Cat Birds, various native pigeons and the Regent Bower Birds give all our fruit a work over. That is, what the possums and gliders don't get at night.

The widespread fear and deep analysis of neck dive at TalkBass always amuses me. Just put a wide non-slip strap on your bass, sling it an inch lower, and play - it's not a problem.

Tech help please:

I've plugged my TV/Bluray player (both Panasonic) thru Studio monitors, but can't seem to be able to control the volume output signals via remote control.

Tried Headphone Out (1/8" TS) and Aux Output (stereo RCA) from TV to no avail. Went thru TV menus & it seems the remote ONLY adjusts the TV's inbuilt speakers. Studio monitors have RCA, 1/4" TS, and XLR inputs.

Anybody got any ideas?? Solutions?

iPhone plugs into Aux input using a 1/8" TRS to stereo RCA cable. Able to control the volume using the iPhone, but still no control using the remote.

Anyone walked the Larapinta Trail (near Alice Springs)? I'm making plans to go there next year.

Been watching Series 5 GOT. Before Episode 6 I thought I couldn't detest the Boltons more. I was wrong.

During the wait for April next year (or whenever it is that the next season of GOT starts) we've been getting into a show that has no shootings, beheadings, and minimal deaths - Friday Night Lights. I think there are 6 seasons, and we're hooked already after 2 seasons - very well made, excellent range of characters, good sub-plots, and some sport and eye candy.

Band practice tonight, '69 P with really old Roto SS rounds, Mesa Walkabout head, Berg CN212. I reckon that about the best I've ever sounded in a rock context.

It incredible how certain things combine really well. I was missing my TC Elec cabs - the 212 and the 210 especially. My rig above could do all that and more.
