^^ I saw it a while back and couldn't understand why it was such a contender for lots of Oscars.
Ok but not amazing. Predictable as you said, even clichéd in parts

What a shocker! I honestly couldn't wait for it to finish and I kind of regret not pulling the pin after an hour like I wanted to.

Once the plot was established, i thought it was just too predictable all the way to the end. I won't spoil it for anybody except to say, don't except any surprises.

I've always been a fan of Leonardo Di Caprio. I've enjoyed a lot of his films but not this one.

I'll give it this though - the scenery was amazing.

Give me a Quentin Tarantino film over this one any day..

Anyone else had similar thoughts about this one?
I saw the Revenant and then Deadpool about 5 days later.

Revenant; so much blood, snow and struggle. I really liked it, but no, it's not fast. And yes, it's pretty single minded. High point for me was when he rode off the cliff. Can't this guy die? 8|

Deadpool; so much blood, stupid comments and flicking around in back story; Wish I had my money back. I just kept thinking, "SHUT UP! Just go back to your girlfriend!"

I reckon they're the same movie, only Deadpool monologues and get's his girlfriend.

I saw Rogue One, Star Wars movie last week. No expectations. I enjoyed it a lot - better than most regular movies. Dovetailed into original movie (New Hope, episode 4) perfectly.

Rogue One is the only Star Wars movie that I've seen a trailer for and thought 'I wouldn't mind going to see that".

I saw Fantastic Beasts with the family last weekend. I liked it but I wouldn't necessarily rave about it.

It seems to be set up to launch another series of movies.

It is. .... I think I've enjoyed all of his movies since too. Jackie Brown was probly my least favorite. ..but still pretty good. Inglorious. .... was very entertaining. ..loved Christopher Waltz's performance! !!
Django... fun. ..
Etc etc. ..

Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine was great too.

I saw Hidden Figures the other night. I would recommend it. As with many of these based on a true story movies, I am not quite sure how much is true and how much is fiction.

The major difference from the truth that I understand is the timeline. The 3 women were actually working for NASA at different times so things that happened during the early and late 1950s were put alongside Shephard and Glenn's flights in the 1960s.

Based on a true story usually means these things happened to someone less attractive
