I was OK'd by the ministry to buy a TRB4 II for Christmas that I'd had my eye on for a while... no pics yet because I'm in Germany and it's back home.

Congrats on the bass acquisitions!
No bass here but something to help build them. A spindle sander. Yet to arrive...

^That's wunnerful!
Let me ask a basic question - which parts of body-making will you end up using it for? I'm looking to see if there is any application of it I've missed.
I see..............basses!

Welcome to the Stingray family. But I must admit you've surprised me a bit. From the general gist of your previous posts, I didn't have you pegged as a Stingray type of guy. Hope you dig it! :)

I know - there is so much to explore, and I've really enjoyed refining my old-school passives, but the rays do seem to characterise that definitive active sound, so - off on another exploration!

Tidying up any bandsaw cuts on my neck and body MDF templates. I might use the templates and a ball bearing router bit to tidy up the actual neck and body (or I could use this to do that)
Sanding the curved parts of the headstock and body horns.
Scalloping the fingerboard/headstock
And anything else in absence of a disc sander

I bought myself a late Christmas bass from reverb today, will have to wait to the weekend to pick it up from my parents house (assuming it arrives this week). Pretty excited even though its a 'affordable' bass.

Nothing bass related from Santa for me this year. Dont really know what i would have asked for as it stands. The interior minister is happy for me to keep out of her hair at MSGM so thats present enough for me.

I did get No.2 son a Wah Wah pedal though. And so his journey to the dark side has begun.
... dial in some "J" to angry it up!

Got gear but little talent!

How are you finding the irig? I’m struggling with dynamic range a bit but I’m confident I’m holding it wrong.

Stop right there, Paul and Pete!

Then again, I get to drive my MX5 to the workshop if I ever need to use one of those - having fun on the way to have some fun :) .

Michael
