35% Humidity? Good luck getting below that anywhere except Hobart.

Well I'm certainly starting to question what the 3rd umpire is doing. How can you possibly give Steve Smith out when the ball is clearly hitting the ground as the keeper takes it?

The last hour is a perfect example of why I don't like 50 over cricket. Smith scratches around like an old "you know what" for too long, finally plays a shot and gets an absolute rubbish decision because of the stupid review rules. THE BALL HIT THE GROUND. Not out when I played cricket.

Actually, he should have been given not out from square leg, if that umpire was doing his job.

The rules change every now and again and it's hard to keep up sometimes.

I didn't realise the 'one hand, one bounce' rule was in place :)

Mark Taylor nailed it in commentary. It was deemed "Out" by the onfield umpire, so the video ref needed "conclusive evidence to overturn the onfield decision". Yes the best cameras angles were blurry, but Ray Charles would have been able to see it hit the ground.

At the end of the day, Eng have outplayed us. Let's hope the selectors have a rethink of strategy and move on. Delete Cameron White and two part time spinners, bring in Lyon and a Harris style quick who has some variation to keep to em guessing.

I think he's grown up a lot after being booed off the court last year

Lleyton has made a huge difference.

Yes, I understood that, Pete.

Any yes, we were outplayed. Not what I was concerned about- the rules were what annoyed me.

What kind of rules allow mandate the wrong decision? Bad ones.

re the Smithy decision - they used a million camera angles OTHER than the only one which would have been conclusive - side on. Ain't technology wonderful?

I just want to say, not criticising Butler- often very hard to tell, particularly with the gloves on.

I reckon a few of the ones they showed did show it hit the ground. Square leg should have been able to rule not out. We seem to be discouraging that with the current system.

I don't like the 'umpire's call' system. If the ball was gonna hit the stumps it's out, regardless of whether the umpire gave it out or not. What a stupid logic.

Check out this ginger leggie bagging 8-for against the Poms in the U19 World Cup final. Sangha's catches at slip were fab as well.
