So what did Chad Sayers do wrong, apart from not living in NSW of course?

Picked for the first test. Dropped for his home test. Now Bird gets next shot. WTF?

Made for a very dull session to watch at the ground.
I heard a lot of the crowd left early. But it's not 20/20. It's a test match. Conditions meant it was a hard pitch to score runs. Good players play to the conditions.
We only left half an hour early to beat the crowds but I did notice lots of empty seats for a sold out match. The tactic seemed to work I’ll say, the batsmen had nothing to work with and clammed up. Didn’t find out about the pitch condition until later on as we didn’t bring a radio. I suspect I’m just grumpy I sat in the sun all day instead of on the couch to see great test tactics, I would probably be better suited to 20/20 but my father in law seemed to enjoy it, he’s the cricket fan.

A: O'Neill B15 copy, Mesa Walkabout, Ampeg Repro 15, Fender Neo 15

going to the cricket stopped being fun when they banned eskies

I blame the poms in 78-9? or was it 77-78, anyway I remember the can fights between the poms and us. we threw empty cans, they threw full ones. Idiots. No Aussie would ever throw away a full can lol

Yes but it wasn't the Poms who got drunk, peed into the empty ones, then throw them up into the air so they splash everyone. That's my memory of Eskys at the cricket.

100 behind on first innings. Two wickets still to get. Cook still there on 210 no. We have problems.
Good innings by Cook.

we got rain in Adelaide today, means it might rain in Melbourne tomorrow, our only hope hehe talk about a turnaround, though it's a dead test. Meaningless. It's what you do when the series is alive that matters

I've managed to get an esky in at (some) venues for WAFL games, but that's it for BYO AFAIK.

Why don't they just ban the idiots who can't handle their drink and behave??? Relevant to members, they could easily have their memberships taken off them. It's not that hard in the days of facial recognition software and identification to catch the others. We've all done gigs in venues that scan your drivers license/ID when you walk in - they'd possibly be able to apply that to the drinking area's at the footy/cricket whatever.

that's what we said at the time. But, as usual it's the 0.001% of the population ruining it for everyone else, sigh

Bancroft gone.
Watching him closely this morning. Not convinced.
Truck could have driven through the gap between bat and pad. Bat comes from about second slip far too often. He closes the face too much.

His technique needs major work.

did anyone read about Mitch Marsh? Because Smiffy called Paine up to the stumps to Mitch because he was bowling slow speeds, Mitch got in a huff and texted Smiffy that he doesn't want to bowl anymore in this match. Good, finish this game and pack your bags, you should never have played anyway. Big score last match or not. As a bowler he is useless anyway so how can he be an all-rounder?

Hadn't seen that.
What I did see was Smith dropping Cook with Payne at the stumps. Very costly- probably will cost the game. Commentators making lots of excuses that he was unsighted because the keeper was up at the stumps. I hear Clarke talking and it is all blabla :blah:
