I don't see why there's a problem sending whatever text messages you like to a person who you are a) in a relationship with that isn't b) in a position of power that leads to you having power over the other person. Or is it that someone was cheating on a girlfriend with another girlfriend, or what? It really isn't clear what's happening here.

It's a matter of public interest that he invited a Greek woman over to his place after she mentioned it was "that time of the month"

Perhaps the public could pay more attention to politicians inventing new crimes to persecute people for and less to who they are sleeping with.

This appears to be a personal matter. It looks to me like someone is getting revenge.

Or, to take either a more or a less generous view, the click-bait peddling idiots that pass for "the press" have decided that this story has a similar shape to the one that has seized so much attention over the last week and run with it.

If your surname is Smith, it's pretty likely you're an immigrant :D

Why is Bridget McKenzie not putting her name forward as Nats Leader? She beat both the "gentlemen" being spoken of for the position for the Deputy role recently.

What does it say about the Nats?

Largely because the Nat Leader is often the Deputy PM and at times Acting PM. The PM has to elected by the House of Reps, so you don't typically get a Senator replacing them.
