Post by Daniel Kinnaird » 13 Nov 2008, 13:31

What are these Google and Adsense Bots I keep seeing listed in the registered users list?

I think they're searching the site for content. I've seen those on other forums before, its probably normal.

Fair enough, I'm not totally hip to all the net jargon... wasn't sure what they were.

Yeah, that's normal. How else are your grandkids going to be able to find out what you wrote in public forums all those years ago :rolf:

Rolling Stoned | The Volts | Doors Alive | Bonza | The Vinyl Beats

Basses: Nash, Fender, Ampeg, Cataldo, Duesenberg, Greco, Ibanez
Rig: Fender, Ampeg, PJB

Endorsing artist: Fender; Cave Passive Pedals

You reckon Talkbass will still be an active forum in 50 years from now? That's something to think about :hmm

Fender will probably have bought it for a few million bucks by then along with all the other bass companies that aren't owned by Gibson :help

That's exactly what they are doing, they're indexing content which is totally good. Exponential find ozbassforum in google etc.

More members too, eg

australia, bass, forum, chat, fender, music man, stingray

all will now be found, just maybe not on the first search page.

Talkbass will always be around and there will always be a "white or torty?" post at the top as well as the thread about the jazz bass with very special pups. Cause you know the standard ones where just plain unplayable.
