Hi Petebass,
I have made arrangements to play and see the 2x12" cabinet this Monday providing the neo speakers are loaded for me to inspect. It's ported at the rear. I'll let you know how it went.
cheers Billybass

Any one else had a chance to give them a test, and your opinions of said test

VTDI/WTDI/BBE Bmax - Crown XLS2500, GB STM-900

Erics lightweight bass cabs in Sydney

By the way, cube construction, while the worst for standing waves, is best for weight. A cube has the most volume vs surface area of any of the box shapes

I actually bumped into Billybass yesterday. I asked him this same question, and he hasn't got around to checkling out these cabs yet as there were none available with the good drivers at the time.

Billybass - I'd be keen to check one out with you. PM me with time you can get and I'll let you know if I'm free.

How much should one sacrifice tone for light weight?? or price??

I know that debate gets thrown around alot. For me, after checking a few new cabs out. I think it's between portability and tone. Weight doesn't bother me as long as it fits on the car easily and gives me room to move on stage. Hence why I am a lover of 212's.

None of those have ever been on my radar before. I'll do some math to confirm, but my initial feeling is none of those are going to be any good for bass.

2.4mm Xmax? Nowhere near enough for bass. It's a PA speaker to be used with a seperate sub.
