North of $2500, maybe south of $3000.

Looks very much like a 'no frills' Kennedy bass...
...Great to see Neil pairing up with Cole Clark. Hopefully it will give is instruments a wider audience!

Neil is indeed a nice guy and was very chatty about the new prototypes at the show. He indicated that they would likely be in the $2-3k bracket although he wouldn't/couldn't be pressed further as there is still some finalisation to do before they hit the market. Nice instruments and extremely light but retaining sustain and evenness. I liked the fretless in particular.

Great find rigidy

The specs are quite impressive. A lot of what you need in a bass without unnecessary frills. The pickups are great as is the pre......3 band eq, mid switch, active passive and passive tone. That's it baby

The icing on the cake IMO would be a zero fret on the fretted version and piezo pickup on the fretless......ooooohhhhh.

I have not seen Neil since I finished my course at Box Hill in 2005... good to see he's well. That fretless he's showing off in the video is hot! Yes. I'm pretty certain want one just like it.

I had a chat to a local musci shop near me that stocks Cole Cark guitars. When I enquired about the new basses, they indicated they expect to retail them somewhere in the high $2k to low $3k region. As for availability, they said they expect their shipment to arrive in 8-12 weeks or so. Apparently Cole Clark have stop all other production and retool for the basses. I assume that is not a trivial exercise.

Looking forward to having a test play on one of these. They look absolutley beautiful, and I've never played a bass with Antigua pups / pre-amp. That fretless in the video looks soooo nice.

Well I got my information from KC's Rock Shop in Boronia, Victoria. They are a Cole Clark retailer as well. I wouldnt be surprised if the BassCentre in Melb stocks them given their daughter shop (accousticcentre) also sells Cole Clark accoustic guitars, but that is purely speculation on my part, and I haven't seen any info on them on the BassCentre website.

When I last enquired at KC's they still indicated 4-6 weeks before availabilty, and that was 2 weeks ago. I tend to stay away from shops now, last time I went in for some strings for my Yamhaha Silent guitar and walked out with an Ibanez SRH500-f ... as well as the strings. :) Here's a pic

I'm keen to see one in store, it looks great from those NAM videos.

NICE! :)

BTW, was talking to my local CC retailer. He thought the price point would be around the $1200 mark. Be interesting to see if he is anywhere near the mark.

Love the specs, but that shape reminds me too much of the washburn Taurus NT basses. just a bit yuck. And I normally like weird shapes (proud warwick dolphin owner here). just too blobby in the lower bout for me. nice horn though.
