Once I’ve got it I’ll share some thoughts on the FI vs DI. My guess is the DI will be a bit more ragged and greasy sounding across the board.

I saw that ad on the fb page. I'm glad it went to an Ozbasser.

I'll leave it up to the buyer to choose whether or not he wishes to disclose that information. These pedals don't come cheap though ......

Future Impact - it’s a more modern Bass Synth pedal along the same lines. The first impressions are that the DI has a certain greasy quality to it that the FI doesn’t. I’m not sure how else to describe it. Sort of like how Moog has had that different quality vs other Synths. Not dirty/distorted, not low-fi, just...greasy. The FI has far greater range, but sounds very clean and hifi in comparison.

Yeah, I think it's worth the dollars (Not the $3k some loony is asking for on Reverb though). The sounds are definitely usable, and the texture is something unique. I can see why they've retained value, even with the FI being released. Different beasts. I'd be more inclined to use the FI solo, and the DI for blending with dirt - for some reason it just seems to complement to drive tone better.
